The International Solidarity Foundation Ethiopia is seeking experienced consultant to analyze the issue of violence against women and girls (VAWG) and gender norms in the targeted communities of Degahbour and Harrow in Somali Region, Ethiopia.
The main objective of this analysis is to provide insight into the dynamics, triggers, and underlying causes of VAWG, including female genital mutilation/cutting and partner violence, in the lives of the beneficiaries and their communities. Additionally, the analysis aims to enhance understanding of the prevalence, severity, responsibility, and preventability of various forms of VAWG among community members (rights holders) and relevant duty bearers. Given that rigid gender norms and harmful stereotypes often contribute to VAWG, they will be an integral focus of this analysis.
